P: WC Action Set issue with CC Beta

I periodically run this action set in CC 2023 with no issues. Recently installed CC Beta. No issues experiences with the Beta until I ran the WC action set. About 80% through the script the action stops on the back fill group while running a filter. I can reproduce the error every time.

The screen shot shows the layer which hangs. The history on the left shows invert. After invert the action set tries to run a filter on the Back Fill Group. But it never finishes. I even let it run for 10 minutes just to see if this action would complete. It would not.

I then opened CC 2023. Ran the same file thought the action set. It runs and finishes. The problem exists with the beta version.

Hopefully someone from Adobe will pass this post onto the engineering group.

Curious @lvartist if you have updated the action? The team tested this version and did not hit the same bug as in the older one.

"Important note: As of November 2020, there is an updated action set for Photoshop 22.0. Download that action set here (and see the updated installation guide in that folder). Also note that the first video on this page (the installation process) was updated in November 2020."

Late replying. Did not see your post until this morning.

The link you provided does include a newer version of the WC Actions. I installed the new version in Beta. It worked! I tested a file 15000px X 7200px @ 300 ppi. No issue with a very large file. Actions completed.

Hi lvartist,

When you say "CC Beta", do you mean "Photoshop Beta"? Several CC applications have beta versions. Your screenshots look like Photoshop, so I'll move your post to Photoshop (beta). If I'm wrong, please post and we can move it again.

Hi @lvartist thank you for reaching out. This is strange that the action works in Ps general release but NOT in Beta. We are trying to reproduce here but it would help if you could share a video of the action working on Ps and not in beta?
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
