Phantom Text or Placeholder Text Appearing in my project

Hello,

A strange phantom text is appearing everytime i add a new text layer.  I am using photoshop cc (the web broswer version), so there's no edit tab or type tab to turn off placeholder text.  So I'm absolutely stumped.  I'm using a mac.
