Have several photos (jpg), showing framed paintings. Use "select subject" to make it easier to change the background. This would take a few seconds in the current PS, but takes almost a minute in this beta version. In all fairness, the result is much more accurate (mostly).

The OS is Windows 11 on:

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
GIGABYTE Z590 AORUS ELITE AX
Installed RAM 128 GB (128 GB usable)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Samsung SSD 850 PRO 1TB
Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB
Samsung SSD 870 EVO 4TB
Samsung SSD 860 PRO 1TB

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it appears to be fixed in the latest update (Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.9.0 20240506.m.2611 c1372bf x64)

Just takes 3 seconds to select the frame now (very accurate)

Can't really post screen capture, as the pictures are not for publication

Hi @Vienna_Sydney could you share a screencapture or video of what you are doing and seeing this slowdown?

Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac)

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings )Win)
Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.
