photoshop beta consumes RAM

Hello, I'm working on a new macbook 18gb m3, and photoshop beta consumes all ram even though I'm not working with photoshop, I'm in lightroom, the mac is very slow as incredible as it may seem

Thank you for the screen shots.  They nearly always help us to understand what might be happening.  In this case, however, we don't know what you have been working on with Photoshop since it was last opened.  It doesn't like to release memory even after you close the file that generated the memory use in the first place.

So what was the size and complexity of any images you have been working on?

Have you tried restarting Photoshop, and if yes, how much memory is it using?

Have a look at your Scratch drive and see what you have in the way of Photoshop Temp files?

I have very little open and still have a 5gb temp file
