Critical Crash on Launch for Photoshop (Beta) v26.7+ on Xeon Workstation

Hello, Adobe Community.

I am experiencing a critical crash that prevents Photoshop (Beta) versions 26.7, 26.8, and 26.9 from launching. The application closes immediately after the splash screen and displays the exception error I have attached to this post.

1. The Exact Error Message: Captura em IPhotoshopApplication, exceção encontrada: GetPhysicallyInstalledSystemMemory(&TotalMemoryInKilobytes) at D:\js\ci\gitws-0\src\dist\git\adobe\thirdparty\LibXPUInfo\LibXPUInfo.cpp:1935

2. System Specifications:

  • CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super (Latest Driver - clean install using DDU)
  • RAM: 64 GB DDR4
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro [Please enter your exact Windows version here]

3. Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken (without success):

  • Complete reinstallation via the Creative Cloud app.
  • Full removal of the application using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
  • A clean installation of the latest NVIDIA drivers using DDU.
  • Resetting Photoshop preferences on startup.

4. Hypothesis and Request: Based on the error message, which points to a failure in reading the system memory by the LibXPUInfo library, and the fact that I am using a workstation platform (Xeon), all evidence suggests this is a compatibility bug introduced after version 26.6.

The community has confirmed that Photoshop (Beta) v26.6 does not have this issue and works correctly.

Therefore, I kindly request that an Adobe representative provide me with a direct download link for the Photoshop (Beta) v26.6 installer. This would allow me to continue my professional work while the development team investigates this bug for future releases.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

UPDATE / SOLVED:

Hello everyone. I would like to report that the issue is now solved.

A small update for Photoshop (Beta) v26.9 appeared in my Creative Cloud app today (June 12, 2025). After installing this patch, Photoshop now launches and works correctly.

It seems this hotfix addressed the GetPhysicallyInstalledSystemMemory bug on Xeon platforms. Thank you to the Adobe team for the quick fix and to the community for the help.
