Photoshop Freezing Up When Using Certain Tools

Question

So I've come accross a bug that is rather annoying and is just completly halting my work flow.

Everytime I go to select the gradient/paint bucket tool, photoshop just freezes up solid. I have to end the program through task manager as it won't do anything. Task manager says it is responding but it sure does not look as if it is. I don't understand as I used this tool about two or three days ago and it worked as intended. I am unsure how to find error reports or things such as this.

To add further to my afore mentioned issue. It's only when I right click on the tool to switch between the Gradient Tool and Paint Bucket. Using the keyboard shortcuts work as intended.
