PS 2024 Bld 25.0 - Also consistent with PS (Beta)

I'm working on a Pr project with graphics saved with the .jpeg extension. I'm opening graphics that need editing with the CMD-E command in Pr. They open in PS, I make the edit and use CMD/OPT-S to save as a .jpeg. The dialog (at the bottom) says .jpeg but up where you name the file it has a .jpg extension. If you miss this you've now got two files and one isn't saved with the extension you edited so it doesn't update back in Pr.

This drove me nuts until I realized I was saving two copies of the same graphic with with .jpg and the original I "thought" would be replaced once saved.

Thank you

Hi @CSI Productions curious if you have this set in your prefs:

Have you tried ticking Enable legacy "Save As"?

Thanks Cory. I suspect not - will check once Adobe realizes we have a corporate account and let's me use the software.

For some reason for the past week I've been flagging management that I've been getting pop ups when launching Adobe software stating my account has expired but I can use it for 7, 6 5....days. They insist it's an auto payment and not to worry but I've told them this has never happened before.

This morning everything (as I told them) is shut off even though today is the day the payment is taken - which it has been. Haven't changed anything about my login but still locked out. Dead in the water for production.

That did it! Thanks Cory. Moved my Account Issue to a different string.

More on this subject. In the past if I've edited a .jpeg/.jpg (which ever extension) and had to add additional layers, alphas whatever to make my edit, as long as once the edit was complete and it was a one layer image/no alpha channels  all I had to do was update the save and it would do just that.

Now it seems whenever I perform an edit, even though it's flat and alphaless (that's a technical term) when I save it, it opens the dialog and adds "copy" to the name which I need to remove to overwrite the existing file. How is this an advantage? It takes more time to perform what used to be a simple edit/save and adds unecessary steps. Frustrating.

It seems like we're moving backwards with some of these "updates." Kind of like scanners at the grocery store, great when they work but more time consuming than just having the checkout person punch in the price when they don't - which is often.

No need to comment on all the information that is stored like inventory etc. I get it. Just not perfected yet.
