PS Beta: Every brush I open starts as flat in Brush dialog box

This started in 27.10 where a new dialog box next to the brush you open starts flat in the angle and roundness description-for each brush I select, I always have to open the brush to it’s default position-this is completely opposite of helpful, especially if you already have a way to do this in the brush panel setting.  I reset the brushes and it still comes up FLAT in each new brush I select.  I updated to 27.11 and it’s still there. Sorry, this was PS Beta-not PS currently as 27.9.1

I see now this was discussed in the Beta forum, please disregard...

This is happening with me too. All brushes, every time. Here are some photos and a quick vid. I’ve tried resetting brushes, one at a time, and “reset all.”  I finally wound up uninstalling and reinstalling withOUT keeping prior preferences, so in theory it should have been free of this issue. In my mind, this points to either something happening with my setup, or a software bug. I also run Photoshop (non-Beta) on this same PC just in case Beta gets buggy on me. That version is not suffering from this flat brush problem so far. I’m on Windows 11 with no updates pending. I use a VPN for my internet (which I thought might just have something to do with it, so shut if off, but it didn’t make any difference). Hopeful someone can sort this out!

The same thing is happening to me! I have crawled all over this program and cannot find a solution. Have you fixed the issue with your system?

I fail to see what the problem is – did you lock any features in the Brush Settings Panel?

Please also include the Brushes and Brush Settings Panels in the screenshot.

Edit: The thread started on the Photoshop Forum so I could not reproduce the issue; fortunately the thread seems to have been moved to the Photoshop (Beta) Forum since.

    Hi Sambit.

Is this happening with all presets, or particular presets?

Are these existing brush presets or ones that you have created?

It will be much easier for us to follow your issue if you can show us some screen shots. They need to be full res and show the document window with brush cursor.

The Brush settings panel with at least one active setting selected (so we can see its settings)

    The Options Bar.

All brushes - presets & custom brushes, the Issue is only in Photoshop Beta.
