PS Update Error

I keep getting a notification saying ' Time To Update' whenever I use Photoshop. It's impossible to make that text box go away. When I go to Creative Cloud and hit update on PS (ver 27.3),  it goes through the entire cycle of downloading the update or installing and then returns to the 'cancel / update' buttons without updating anything. When i open PS I get the Time to Update message again and nothing changes.

Am I doing something wrong? or is there an error at Adobe's end?

Please Help.

Hi @VipurvaParikh Ps Beta releases updates twice a week, and Ps GA(the release version) once a month.  For Ps Beta the message to update is shown to make sure you are using the latest version as that has the most recent bug fixes and upates which the teams want customers in Ps Beta to test/use.

The reason the box is not disabled is without customers using the latest version, if they post about a bug or issue from an older version, that issue might have already been fixed in a current release.  It is also a bit confusing, but just because you have Ps Beta v. 27.2... there are multiple updates using the same nunber and to make sure you are on the latest you need to make sure.

For example, before the latest update, here were the 27.2 versions:

Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251109.m.3288 7a0357a arm64 (beta, PublicBeta)
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251112.m.3292 95003d4 arm64 (beta, PublicBeta)
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251123.m.3307 6fe705b arm64 (beta, PublicBeta)
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251201.m.3315 75bf4e4 arm64 (beta, PublicBeta)

All are 27.2, but they also change in the m.#, ie m.3288, m.3292, etc.  These are the version updates that you are seeing show up in CCD.

We hope this clears this up.

Hi Cory,  I found it very confusing to keep getting update msgs too when I'd already updated to Ps 27.2b. Is it possible both to achieve what you're suggesting is the motivation for the repeated update msg boxes and for us beta users to know we aren't continually being asked to reinstall the same release (I assumed there was a bug that the program didn't recognize I had updated...), for Adobe devs to append another dot extension when updates are made to interim versions of a similar generation of Ps beta? For ex. 27.2, 27.2.1, 27.2.2, 27.2.3, 27.2.n   Thx!
