RIP Generative Fill

In recent days, Generative Fill has been performing very poorly. Sometimes, it works as before, but often, there's a long wait for results. I initially thought it might be related to my credits, but they were reset yesterday, and evidently, it's not working any better tonight. It's been 15 minutes since the generation started, and the most absurd part is that it still cost me 1 credit.

I see people complaining about this for a month now, with no response from Photoshop.

What's the point of keeping promoting it on Instagram if the feature is obsolete?

@Anthony32109889urxu at what point of your extensive research brought you to the conclusion that Generative Fill is obsolete? Internet speeds and firewall blockers are a big factor in Generative Fill repsonsiveness.

Credits are not enforced until January 1, 2024 so that would not affect your Gen Fill.

Have you checked your firewall settings to make sure Photoshop is listed and allowed in Windows Defender?

But sometimes it works, so why would the problem come from my computer? Also it used to work very well. Regardind the credit I also saw january 1st, I'm very scared of what it would look like knowing than it's already often slower than usual (more than 20 mins for a generation and not for the best results, since often you need several generations to get what you want) but those last days I didn't have any over wait, i have to be honnest. Still they should communicate more, even if they have fixed it. Especially because while there was those issues, they were promoting generative fill on their socials, so people take a membership for something unstable. Communication is the key.

Again - interent speed makes a huge difference in GF repsonsiveness. Adobe can't control your router, connection or speed.
