Save and Close, leads to Close and no Save

When you go to Export > Quick Export PNG in Photoshop, and then close photoshop, I am getting 80% of the time it just closes and i go check the location i saved the file, and there's no file. and I have to re-open photoshop and start from scratch to remake the png. Photoshop used to finish saving before closing. Now it just closes.
