Question

Stalls at "Reading Brushes"

Hi all,

I am having trouble using Photoshop Beta.  I have been using it for a long while without any problem, but when I tried to start it today, it stalled at the "Reading Brushes" and exited due to an error.

I tried removing it ad reinstalling and rebooting my machine, but all to no avail.

Has anyone else experienced this, and/or know a solution?

Thanks in advance.

I am also having this same problem for several weeks. I'm now installing 24.7.2 to see if that works.

Do you have both full release and beta versions installed, and if yes, does the full release version work OK with the same brush files?

You mention installing 24.7.2 but the latest beta version is 25.4 m.2426   Yuo should stay as up to date as possible, and especially if experiencing issues.

No, I only had 25 installed. After spending some time with Adobe support
they ended up bringing me all the way back to version 22. I do need to
contact them again tomorrow because something they changed messed something
else up.

Hi @georgeindeland

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
