Trouble with generative fill with a person.

When I start with a portrait of a person, then select, invert selection, and do a generative fill, I am not getting good results, especially around the hair. I can't find a video that addresses my issue.

    Hi @TuckMan092 I would mask out the person onto their own layer first using the selection and mask tools in Photoshop.

    Then on a separate layer generate your background.

    Working on one layer is a very destructive way to work and will not give you good results.

    maybe your selection is too large? AI is limited to resolution of 1024x1024 to get nice results...
