Various open/save dialogs don't appear, as expected

Photoshop v25.0.0

M2 MacBook Air 2022 MacOS 13.4.1

Upon attempting to place linked and/or attempting to save, the various dialogs don't appear over the main document window. I get beeps, expecting me to answer the dialog, but I can't, becausse I can't see them.

    Cory, I think you're right about the Extensis plugin. I tried opening PS Beta while holding down the shift key, and the "missing" dialogs reappeared. So, I'll remember to use the shift key when launching PS Beta—until Extensis supports the new PS version. Thanks so much for your help! 🙂

      It is very common for third party plugins to cause issues, sometimes they need to be updated and in a beta software the makers will not update until a release version is out...  we look at the info and try to see what might be the cause and this was one that stood out.  Starting without it only tells us if the issue you saw persists, then this plugin was NOT the cause.

        I'd like to know why you're asking about this plugin. It's a convenience I'd rather not live without. It's supposed to auto-activate fonts when a document is opened which contain them. Another possibly complicating factor here is that I'm not sure it's been properly installed!

                    Thanks so much for the quick response to my bug report!

                    I want you to know (I’m NOT complaining here!) that I’ve been a proud and happy Adobe professional customer since about April, 1987 when I bought my very first Adobe software product, Illustrator v1.01! That green slipcase with Boticelli’s “Venus” on it, which contained the discs and VHS video tape of John Warnock personally demonstrating the app was soooo impressive!

                    Having previously read Adobe's books on PostScript and having diddled with the code a bit, downloading the postscript to an Apple Laserprinter which had the Adobe Postscript interpreter in it and viewing the clean output, I was seriously bitten! I realized at that time that Illustrator was basically a GUI for Postscript! Genius!

                    I even adopted my personal screen name, “adobephile”, which I still use often today!

                    I’ve been making my living, raising my family, fulltime as a freelance artist, always specializing with Adobe software. I’ve also been a Creative Cloud subscriber since that program started.

                    Now, I’m 73, and actually not planning to retire. I’m stilll having so much fun! Love the new AI parts of Photoshop, and hoping there will be a viable, affordable, and legal way to incorporate such assets into my own commercial assets!
