When placing a space between a dash at the beginning of a line and the remainder of the text on a text layer with styles, Photoshop freezes

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select any OTF font.
  2. Type a dash followed by a word of your choice with no spaces. Example: “-Hello”.
  3. Apply any degree of stroke via styles.
  4. Add a space in-between the dash and the word.
  5. Photoshop should have froze if steps were followed correctly.

Hi @Bennet29095575v8z9 we believe we followed your your steps to recreate but did not see a crash.

    1. Do you have the latest beta? Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.6.0 20260412.m.3501 2f62d66  arm64 (beta, PublicBeta)
    2. Do you see the same issue on Ps release version or just Ps Beta?
    3. Please share your sysinfo: Launch Ps Beta, in top menu go to Help/System information and paste the info in your reply.

    Thanks,

Hey Cory, thanks for the response.

    1. I do now. On 27.7.0 20260419.m.3511 ba3a9e2  x64 (beta, PublicBeta), this issue seems to be fixed.
    2. On the release version of PS (27.5.0 20260323.r.13 dee573e  x64 (final, Release)), this issue does not exist.
    3. If it still would be of use to you, you can check my system info here: https://pastebin.com/ZMPXvULk

    Thanks,
    Bennet
