Question

2 Versions of Photoshop

Hello,

I have 2 versions of Photoshop, namely 21.2.4 and 22.1.

I think the cause of this is because I didn't update my photoshop when the 21.2.4 version became available. When I opened my photoshop after not using it for sometime, I noticed 2 updates available. Thinking that the 22.1 version is the latest, I decided to update the 21.2.4 version first but encountered an error message that there is a conflicting error. I proceeded to update to the 22.1 version which went through successfully.

But the update to 21.2.4 version remained in my notification. I click on it to see if it works and the update went through this time despite my trying to cancel it.

Now I have 2 versions of photoshop. I would like to seek the advice of the community as to what I should do now.

Your assistance in this matter is much appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

Gillian

You want to have at least two version of Photoshop installed. You never know when Adobe will brake the current version of Photoshop.   Currently Adobe knows of many issued in Photoshop 2021 its not ready for prime time. Use Photoshop 2020 till Adobe addresses the issues in Photoshop 2021.

Hi

Unless space is an issue it's always a good idea to keep the previous version of Photoshop installed in case you have issues with the most recent version.

When installing a new version you are giving the option to keep the previous version or remove it
