21.2 has issues

Ever since 21.2 loaded, my healing brush is intermittant, my clone tool is intermittant, my PLACE function doesn't work unless I manually add it between two layers, and BRIDGE keep locking up. I'm trying to process a large group of images from a photoshoot, and Photoshop is driving me CRAZY!!

Are you using the very latest release of Photoshop? It's now up to 21.2.1.

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop Preferences?

Yes I am on 21.2.1 I have not tried to reset the preferences, and am not sure exactly how to do just the preferences. Since these functional issues only appeared after the 21.2.1 update (except for Bridge locking up - that started weeks ago), and are the issues are with basic tool functions and not preferences as such, I don't see how that would help, but I'll try anything!

Any time Photoshop starts acting weird, resetting the preferences is often a fantastic fix. That can include everything from tools not behaving properly, shortcuts not working, weird interface glitches, you name it.

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
