25.2.0 Release - Assigning ICC scanner profiles has stopped working

ICC scanner profiles that use the Lab Profile Connection Space are no longer usable in the latest public release.

Assigning the profile will result in the following warning dialog:

"Could not complete the Assign Profile command because the ICC profile is invalid."

ICC profiles using XYZ Profile Connection Space appear to work as expected.

Note that Photoshop is also unable to preview the Lab PCS profiles in the Assign profile dialog.

The only workaround is to use an older version of Photoshop to Assign the ICC profile, save and then reopen in 25.2.0 to continue working.

This is a serious bug as the 25.2.0 release invalidates the assigning of a whole class of ICC profiles which worked without any issues a few days ago.

I have tested this on two separate Apple Silicon Macs. Both were able to assign profiles correctly on December 1st (prior to upgrading to 25.2.0).

@Martin24326785bsli  I've posted a bug report about the input profile issue, please contribute to that thread and let's get it noticed:

reinstalling PS v25.1 regains the ability to use Lab PCS type Input profiles.

I hope this helps
