30-bit GPU for Photoshop CC
I realise similar questions have been asked in the past but I'm asking again in case the situation has changed.
I'm specifying a new Windows 10 PC, primarily for photo editing with PS CC, and am considering using the GTX 1050Ti GPU. My main monitor supports 10-bit per component (30-bit per colour) via the DisplayPort and I'd like to be able to utilize this colour depth from PS. Is this possible with the GTX 1050Ti? I note an NVIDIA Support answer ID 3011 from 2011 which states Photoshop renders through OpenGL and OpenGL 10-bit per colour buffers require a Quadro workstation GPU. Is this still the case, or do GeForce GTX drivers now support OpenGL 10-bit buffers?
Similarly, if I were to choose AMD would I need a Firepro workstation GPU, or could I now get away with a Radeon card? (I note the AMD Catalysts Control Center has provision to set 10-bit HDMI output even on my ancient HD5570, but that doesn't mean it's supported in OpenGL).
If the answer is still that I'll need a 'workstation' grade GPU, would the Quadro K1200 be a sensible choice? I'm planning on running two screens, the main one up to 4k resolution and the other at 1920x1200.
