8-16-32 which one

Can some kind person tell me when I am creating images for the internet should it be in 8 bit, 16bit, or 32bit.

I have checked the net for a simple answer but they all get far to techo and I am no futher ahead.

    It always ends up 8 on the internet. Some weird technical things get better results if you work in 16-bit and convert later, but if you're a beginner that isn't likely to apply.

    8 bits = 256 colors (or 255 colors + transparency).

    24/32 bits = millions of colors

    Always work in 8 bit mode with images for the internet.

    I guess that this kind of explanation is confusing you https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001557.htm In Photoshop you are setting bit depth per channel. Many times authors on the internet are referring to total bit depth which is 8x8x8 = 24. It means 8 bit per red, green and blue channel. If author refers to 32 bit display it means 8x8x8 for red, blue and green plus alpha channel.
