About layer rasterization and its effects

Hi I want to add a concentrated line effect to the text.

I want to create a text with a layer effect with an image with a tail on the left side, but I can not do it well.

I want some advice

I am trying with the following procedure.
1. Add layer effect glow to text
2. Copy text layer (create layer 2)
3. Fill layer 2 to 0
4. Rasterize Layer 2 Layer Style
5. Add a filter wind effect to layer 2 (standard/from right)
