Hi, If I make an action it would be great not to see all of the configuration below the buttons that matters. It would be a nice thing if we could collaps the configuration of that action int a folder to clean up all that visible informationActio

Hi,

Don't think the explanation above was good enough. I mean if I make an action folder it works in button mode looking to another folder how it is configured. So in one folder you will see only the buttons to process the action and in the second folder  there is the configuration of it. So the whole action is set up into two folders....the folder where you press the button where it reacts at the second folder where the configuration is made.

Out of button mode you will see two folders but once you go into button mode everything is spread out underneath each other. My hope is if it would be possible if you could say to the configuration folder to collaps all the information within button mode so that long list wouldn't be so visible.

The Action Palette is not very customizable.   When not in button mode you can work on Action sets and Actions in action sets  and reorganize the palette to some extent. You can collapse and expand action sets where expansion is partly expanded where only action names are displayed.  Actions can also be expander so only steps are displayed and steps can be expanded so you can see all the settings recorded for a step.  You can edit everything in the Action palette and loads and remove actions sets abs remove actions.

If you haves a lot of action sets loaded and action set have many actions Collapsing action sets and Actions enable  you to move around you Action sets and actions quite well.   But thing would be better if Action sets could be nested,  You would be able to organize your actions palette for better navigation.

IMO if you have many action sets loaded and sets have many actions Button mode in not very useable.  For every action has a button that is displayed in the action palette while you can set button colors you have so many buttons they all do no fit into the action palette at once you need to scroll the action palette to use you actions navigating you actions is difficult.

You may also need to be careful not to expand everything in the action palette in non button mode it you have tons of actions loaded,   The Action palette will expand just so much.  If you try to exceed the  Photoshop Acton Palette will fail to function and Photoshop will be hung.  After you terminate Photoshop it will not start again till you delete you action pallets Preferences file or restore an older version in you preferences folder.

Some of Photoshop UI could  use some updates.    For instance If you install many Photoshop scripts  the menu File>Script>Script Name List.   The list will not fit on your display and when you scroll the list you will see it scroll one  name at a time rather the a screen list at a time.   It can take quite some time to to get to the script you want to run.  I  use Windows file explore to scroll through my scripts and drop the one I want to run on Photoshop  instead of using Photoshop UI.  Or I use the extension JSX Launcher  for a list of script  I'm working with. However extension palettes that should be expandable like JSX Launchers are broken by an udate in CC 2018 and CC 2019

I've moved your post over to the Photoshop Scripting forum, hopefully more people will see it and be able to give you some direction.
