Adjusting Transparency of Pixels

I blew up a "*.png" file that turned out to have semi-transparent pixels. Is there a brush mode that'll correct the transparency without adjusting the other values such as hue or brightness?

Hi @Charles21850702efo2 ,

There are many ways to do this in Photoshop. I'll share my suggestions. I'm sure fellow ACPs will share theirs.

You can use the magic wand and select the semi-transparent pixels and elminate them. Consider using Select and Mask. A very handy toolset.

You can also use Color Range to select the offening pixels and eliminate them.

This guide will get you going. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/making-quick-selections.html

Let us know how you go.

This is useful information for cleaning up unexpected blurs, but I am also curious if say, I had transparent pixels in the middle of a subject that already had the correct color and brightness values, but were, for some reason or another, transparent. Is there a way to do a brush stroke across that space to bring the opacity of every pixel up to 100%?

You can paint with the brush in "Behind" mode. It does exactly what it sounds like.

The quick and dirty way is to just duplicate the layer a couple of times and merge.
