Adjustment layer

I have forgotten how to have an adjustment layer affect only the one layer directly below it and not everything below it.  My attempts to simply "Look it up" have failed.  Thanks.

Hi @GButch 

 

There are multiple ways. Here are a few.

 

Select the adjustment layer and:

  • Right-click the layer > Create clipping mask
  • Layers panel menu > Create clipping mask
  • Alt-click/Option-click the line between two layers (the pointer becomes two overlapping circles)
    (my favorite)
