Adobe Photoshop cs6 extended.

I keep getting the message: could not coplete your request as it is not the required document.   I can open a JPEG file into P/S and do work on it.  When I have completed editoring I save as a JPED.  When I go back to open it I get the message up above.  Please help me.  I never used to get this message.

Some Googling suggests this message actually comes from Gimp, not Photoshop. Is that what you see?
