We reccomend setting this to 70%

no its a desktop pc and drivers are up to date, but I'd rather keep the gaming settings i currently have on, unless that isnt the only way to fix this, that is. and on cpu overclocking, i never had stability issues on cpu before.

Call me old school, but I always said overclocking is asking for trouble. The speed gain is usually at the expense of stability.

That said, this sounds more GPU related. I'd try an updated driver from Nvidia. Make sure to install the Studio driver, not the game ready. Check "clean install" to remove all traces of the old driver. Uncheck all the extra components in the driver package; you don't need them.

If, by any chance, this is a laptop with dual graphics, disable the integrated Intel GPU. Two GPUs will conflict.
