Adobe's Chat Support

For those of you that have experienced this, I think you will agree. The persons on the other end of Adobe's CHAT application support are HIGHLY unqualified.

I asked a fairly basic question about Photoshop clipping paths and I was kept waiting for far too long between responses. I waited and waited. I said, do you have the transcript of my issue? Waiting, waiting... THEM (finally): "You wanted to know (X), right?" I said, "No, that's the opposite of what I asked." I rephrased the question. Waiting, waiting... "Give me 1 to 2 minutes to check you account information." The person never came back online. I continued looking for my own solutions but found nothing. I tried the CHAT again. It was almost an identical experience except this person eventually sent me a link to read as the solution. It was a discussion that I had found and read earlier in the day. I responded by saying, yes, that the link was from 2010 and the CC interface is much different than it was eight years ago. I gave up after 45 minutes. So no solution except for an irrelevant link that they had Googled. No actual Photoshop expertise or knowledge. Not good.

I eventually figured it out on my own.

Basically Support is for any kind of issue using your software, or preventing you from using your software. Technical issues, not training issues. You would ask the Photoshop Community (experienced real world users) if you needed to ask about a function.

So open a post with a relevant subject line and the OS/Photoshop version you need  help with.
