After a CC update my tablet pen keeps getting stuck on the eraser tool

I have a Huion 1060 PLUS. Two Photoshop CC updates ago, my tablet pen started getting stuck in eraser mode. It will work fine for a while but then randomly I will be using the eraser tool and it will refuse to switch back to any other tool. Before now I could fix it by restarting photoshop or unplugging my tablet, but now even that isn't working!

The tablet is only a few months old and I already tried re-downloading the Huion driver. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?!?!?

Sorry that your Huion 1060 Plus pen keeps getting stuck on the eraser tool in Photoshop CC. Could you please refer the steps below:

  • First, make sure that the driver is installed, and that your tablet is connected correctly to the computer.
  • Update the tablet driver from manufacturer's website.
  • Reset the driver preferences to ensure that a specific setting isn’t causing your pen issues.

If the above steps does not help, restore Photoshop app preferences to default and let us know if the issue still persists?
