AI Transparent Images importing with white background into PS sine new update

I did the latest update for PS and now anytime I Place my AI vector files as a linked file it will show up with a white box. I have to work on several images a day and do not have time to cut out every background in PS.

I have done the same process for 2yrs and never had this issue until I updated. How could I keep this from happening?

This might be related: the same thing is happening with EPS files.

The latest PS is erroneously reading the low-res previews from EPS files instead of rendering the actual vector information.

This has been reported a few times now in the Bugs forum.

This is the first time I've heard it with AI files, tho.

Are you sure that the original Ai file doesn't have a white shape behind?!

I checked and yes 100% transparent. I ended up just reverting back to the previous version before installing the update of PS and it solved the issue. Thank you!
