I open an image in Photoshop and I can't do much at all. Almost every option of every feature is grayed out.

Simply restarting photoshop appears to have fixed this issue

See this thread in the Photoshop Family forum. Restarting doesn't always fix the issue.

Thanks. This is exactly what happened to me. I used lightroom classic to open the image in photoshop. Interesting that when I searched the adobe photoshop forum that I could not find any mention of the problem.

...now if I could find an explanation of why premiere pro 2019 doesn’t work properly I’d be back up to full speed.
