ALL of my PSD files are gone????

WTAF? After upgrading...every single PSD file I have on my hard drive is GONE. Just freaking gone? I have years and years of templates that are designed with hours and hours of work and they are just gone? Seriously?

OK, I have no idea what is happening but all of a sudden they are now showing again. I nearly had a flipping stroke. I swear to Jah, I opened the folder and there was NO PSD files, and now out of the blue they are back???

Did you restart your computer after the upgrade? 

Adobe products will never remove PSD files from your hard drive.  Hard drive failure would be the only reason for that happening.  After upgrading, you can expect your recent files folder to reset but that's normal and doesn't remove any physical files from the disk.

No, not a reboot. Just a stange AF and panic inducing weirdness where literally no PSD files were showing in folders...folders that I go to almost daily. The just as suddenly, the reappeared. Bizarre.

    It's hard to say what happened. Were you looking through Mac Finder, Windows File Explorer, Adobe Bridge, or Photoshop? In any event, this is a good time to back them up to one or more places. You can do that today to a Cloud (Adobe, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.) and then buy an external hard drive tomorrow.

    Windows Exploder....man I was totally freaking out. I have backups on everything on BackBlaze...but still. I mean Yikes to the nth degree. I checked like six folders and bupkus. A search for anything psd came up blank. Then, out of nowhere they showed up again. I now must go clean up the mess I made in my diaper.
