All tools showing as squares and rectangles that cover work area

Thank you for the direction. Unfortunately, neither solution worked. I am also getting this message (see attached). Does that have anything to do with it?

Beside above suggestion try to update driver. 

We have been seeing a multitude of display issues get fixed with Detactivate Native Canvas so give that a try.  You need to restart Photoshop for it to take effect.  Can you lets us know if it works for you?  Any feedback helps other people going forward.
