Trying to record the eyedropper tool but it won't let me change the 'Allow Tool Recording' setting. WHY? Am I selecting the wrong part of the action?

Do you have ScriptingListener.plugin in the plugins-Folder?

If so try removing it and restarting Photoshop.

Are you using the ScriptListener plugin? If so, turn it off (rename the file with ~ at the beginning)
