Alt-click for versioning layers: Show only layer in group instead of whole Photoshop doc? (Possible feature request)

Is this possible?

This would be great for if you want to try out different versions of a layer.

You make a group for the that 'layer', and then you just (insert shortcut)-click to 'toggle' between all the 'versions', which are layers. (or could be groups even, you know?)

Please let me know if this isn't possible already, otherwise we could make a feature request for this.

Otherwise: let me know some alternatives!
