Alternate brushes not appearing

I got photoshop a few days ago, and the brush tool as well as many others had a drop down arrow where you could pick alternate versions of the tool.

This seems to have dissappeared. Right clicking does nothing either, please help?

In Photoshop go Edit>Toolbar, click Restore Defaults, then click Done.
