Question

Apple Catalina changed my images and images have different icons not Photoshop's

I save all my images as max .jpeg pro photo, a smaller .jpeg pro photo and a .jpeg sRGB and a .psb.

When I installed Catalina today, instead of .psb symbol on the image it cahnged to ON1.  The extension is still .psb.  Strange, it did this accross all my external HD's.  I don't use ON1 2018 any longer and never really did much with it.  The .psb images still open in PS 2020 as normal.  Anyone have a solution other than deleting the ON1 program from my applications?

Hi Steve,

That sounds like an issue with the File association, you can change the settings for each file and set the default application to Photoshop and that should the icons for Photoshop. Please check this article for steps: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/how-to-manage-file-associations-in-macos/

Please restart the computer after chaning the file association to Photoshop.

Let us know if it helps.
