Attempting to open .NEFs is Freezing up PhotoShop

I have 24.7 and Camera Raw 15.5.0.1595, I am on a Windows 10 machine.

The issue is, when I try to open a .NEF, in any way, PhotoShop freezes and becomes totally unresponsive. I have attempted letting it sit for a while and see if it was just a speed issue, but so far no such luck. When this happens the only way for me to close the program is to "end task" from the task manager. Everything else that I normally do still works. I have already tried signing out and signing back in, uninstalling and reinstalling, and I have tried turning off the "use Graphics Processer" and extending my Raw Cache to 10Gb.
