Auto Blending a batch of photos [Scripting help required]

I am trying to automate the production of real estate photos. I take two photos-one for outside exposure with flash fill and one exposure for ambient room light. I place both photos in one document, select both then select "Auto-Blend Layers". This gives a good result, rendering the outside view through the windows well and revealing detail in the shadow areas of the room , while minimizing the flashy look.

I am seeking a batch recipe to automate this process. I don't know how to get the program to go down and slect each pair of photos, perform the needed action, save and then go on to the next pair.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

It sounds like it wouldn't be a problem for the Batch command combined with an action but the problem lies with the fact that Photoshop won't know which two images to blend without user intervention. (Maybe a script would help? I'm not a propellerhead on this matter.)

That's going to be the answer methinks.  Ask in the Script forum

I'll change your Subject text to attract the scripting experts, (we have a few in this forum)
