Hi there,

wonder if anyone knows how to set (maybe through a script) the auto straighten and crop tool to leave a margin of x amount of pixels surrounding the image.

Appreciate your help.

Best and stay safe.

Claudio.

Hi, you can make an action of what you want to do then use it as batch work.....regards

Thank you Ali,

I probably should have explained a bit better my problem:

I have a set of A4 sheets of paper (several thousand in fact) being photographed against a background.

I know that Photoshop can batch straighten and crop out the margins surrounding the images, so long as you have enough luminance contrast for it to detect the edges.

My question is if I can set it to leave a margin of x dimensions (say, 200px) of the original image all around the sheet of paper.

I’m not interested in a crop that cuts to the edge of the image and then adds a white canvas (or any other color for that matter) margin around the sheet of paper.

I need the 200 pixels that surrounds the edges of the document, to be the photographed original background.

Hope that clarifies.

Best.
