Autoblend isn't working for me

Earlier this morning i changed a face in a photo and it worked, when i had an idea how to do it better, i went do the same thing again from the beginning, when I click auto blend, it completely removes what i want blended together. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. I'm really frustrated.

I am on a PC with v26.0
