Automatic crop and straighten multiple scanned photos from old photo albums
I have scanned a large number of old photos directly from their photo albums without taking them out to avoid damaging the photos.
I downloaded photoshop on my mac and was hoping I could use the automate crop and straighten photos function to separate the scanned photos but since the background area between the photos have a beige strippy pattern (from the sticky glue of old style albums), this function is not able to identify the edges of the photos to crop accurately.
Is there a way I can "white out" the photo album background without editing the colour/contrast of the photos so that I can then proceed with automate crop and straighten photos step? Everything I read on youtube/websites only teaches you about whiting out a background from a center object and not from a defined area of the image.
Many thanks for your knowledge in advance!
