Question

Automating image production for a newspaper

I am interested in developing image generation for a newspaper, but I'm fairly new to this case.

I'd like to get treated quickly a large amount of photographs of real estate sale notices in a newspaper.

At the moment I open each image, I set the correct size, adjust the tone of the sector, add sharpening and change profile color space to CMYK format. How can this be easily done using a script? Is it possible to automate having regard to the different-colored images? How should I proceed?

All the tips are welcome, thank you.

I suppose much of what you seem to be after could be achieved with Actions with the relevant parts’ »Toggle dialog on/off« checked and File > Scripts > Image Processor.

Is it possible to automate having regard to the different-colored images?

What exactly do you mean?

Hello.

I meant for example, pictures of different colors too red or too blue images. Is there an easy way to fix the color of pictures right? Is it possible to correct the white balance script or actions?

Hope this helped a little bit better understanding of what I'd like to automate.

I am no great expert on this issue, but unless you can express in a quantify-able way (like certain Histogram-value relations) what you mean by »too red« or »too blue« I would guess that may be difficult.

And one might want to consider that an image may have »a lot of blue« but still be OK (because the horizon is low and a lot of blue sky is visible for example) …
