I have recently bought a new camera SonyRX10 iii but when I try to open the RAW files in Photoshop CS6 it says the RAW (ARW) are not compatible. Photoshop is up to date. Can anyone tell me if Adobe will be updating the program so I can use my RAW files or if there is something in way of a plug-in I can use to make them compatible?

In case you didn't know, CS6 is finished and will never be updated. You are about five versions behind, the current version is CC2018.
