Batch Flattening TIFF Files?

I work in comic books and so I'm dealing with a lot of layered TIFF files regularly. Each graphic novel I have to put into a PDF and therefore am trying to flatten the TIFF files before doing so for file size purposes. Is there a way to batch a folder at a time? Usually I'm doing 70-120 so there's a lot of files and would like to speed up the process!

You can create an action with a single flattening step (no need to include save in the action), then use File > Automate > Batch and select an input folder with the save and close option (sub-folders will not be processed):

Alternatives include the Image Processor script, the Image Processor Pro script or a custom script.

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

Photoshop can batch process entire folder at a time but depending on the file size and number of files the batch process will take it's time.

I'd suggest that you create different folders for your files with different file sizes and purposes. This way you can batch process effectively.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
