BATCH PROCESS FUNCTION SUGGESTION

Hiya Adobe!

I am on the fence on whether keeping Photoshop as my go-to software, and I am strongly considering Affinity Photo.

What would keep me on the Adobe package, is one single function I have yet to come across on any piece of software since the early days of ACDSee: batch file conversion.

Could you please implement a 'batch convert' function, so I, for example, could convert 1400 PSD's to JPEG 100% quality in two to three clicks?

I know, I know, I could make an action, but that requires each file being opened, converted, and saved one at a time, which is unnecessary, considering you could in some few lines of code make a function that is just - Right-click -> batch convert > choose file format

ACDSee had this back in the 90's.

pretty please? 🙂

I'll stay with adobe just for that.

Yes, the Batch command requires an action.

Then there is the Image Processor Pro script:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/ps-scripts/files/Image%20Processor%20Pro/v3_2%20betas/

Or the Picture Processor script:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Paul-Riggott/PS-Scripts/master/Picture%20Processor.jsx

Or the PDF Processor II script:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Paul-Riggott/PS-Scripts/master/PDF%20ProcessorII.jsx

Or one of many custom scripts that have been created for more specific batch processing tasks...

Not to mention that Adobe Bridge/ACR can perform batch file processing of raw/jpeg/heic/tif files.

This functionality is already present using scripts as already suggested but also and using Export panel in Adobe Bridge.

Another available option is using Lightroom which you probably have installed either through CC or Photography plan.
