Batch processes: Adding Dimensions to Christmas Trees

Hello,

We have a large amount of Christmas tree products. I need to do the following:

  • Add an arrow for height
  • Add an arrow for width
  • Add individual dimensions to both arrows

Each image 1:1.

How much of this would I be able to do in bulk?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

Adding arrows is pretty easy. Do you have dimensions in a spreadsheet or how do you know what numbers go on which product?

I do product photography and we use bill-of-materials photos in-house. Those have component part numbers and weights on the product photo. I use a combination of Excel scripts, DIY Metadata (a Bridge script), and several Bridge and Photoshop scripts which I have written along with recorded Photoshop actions to add the correct data to the photo. Basically I add it to XMP fields then read those fields in Photoshop and add them to new or existing text layers as needed. I have a custom text formatting script to round things out.

I would NOT recommend this unless you have advanced skills in Excel and Adobe scripting (VBA and Extendscript.) The alternative is a watermarking script/app or data-driven graphics.
