Batch Processing of Camera Raw Color Checker/Camera Calibration Profiles in Photoshop Ver19.1.3
I am in need of applying a Color Checker Passport profile to a group of Camera Raw files. I was hoping to utilize some batch processing to accomplish this. My thought was to record an action where I select the particular profile and then call up that action for my batch processing. My issue is that none of my profiles will show up in the Camera Raw filter pop up WITHIN the Photoshop application. The Profiles do show up with the initial Camera Raw 10.3 plug-in that opens up prior to going into the Main section of Photoshop. That's fine if I'm processing one image at a time. However, if you have 1200+ images from a photo session, I'd prefer to automate the process and not open up all 1200+ images one at a time. The issue at hand is that I am unable to access any of my profiles from the main menu's camera raw filter section in order to record/create the action. I have called Adobe support and after a week of talking to multiple technical support individuals, the final response was "this is how the workflow of Photoshop is" i.e. you are not going to access your profile in this manner. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there an alternative method to applying these filters to a large group of raw images?
My opinion: This whole issue would go away if that Camera Raw 10.3 Plug-In was accessible from the drop down menu within the filter section of Photoshop. At this moment the Camera Raw filter that we get from the drop down menu is missing the whole section that includes Adobe Raw, Camera Matching, Profiles & Legacy which can be found in the Initial Camera Raw 10.3. Of course, my luck is that my profiles can only be access in this "missing" section.
