Question

Batch reducing file size?

I'm trying to bulk upload lots of files to a print-on-demand service that caps uploads at 25mb per file.. I've got 2000+ files, all anywhere from 22-90mb. Is there any way to reduce/optimize them to less than 25mb each while retaining as much of the resolution as possible?

If not, what's the most efficient way you would suggest accomplishing this?

Thanks!!

the Adobe tool with the smallest footprint is the script processor, its in File > Script and the irony of this tool is that it makes a smaller file for web use than the 'export for web' does

The very first question is in which format you have saved your files?

If you reduce files sizes by reducing the number of pixels you have for the images you will loose image quality.   Printed images will be poorer when you reduce the number of Pixels  There is no magic.   The bulk of image file data is  pixel data, and most images file formats support the use of data compression to reduce the file sizes.  If the file you have are not saved  using data compression.  You can reduce files size without loosing image by re-saving them using data compression.   You  reduce disk space required  but increase computer processing required for processing your images.
