Batch update (re-import?) of PNG files in Smart Objects

I have a substantial project, where I thought upon changing the original png, it would automatically update in photoshop.

Unfortunately that is not the case and I wanted to kindly ask te community if there is an easy workaround for this.

The PNG files are in the same where I dragged it from. The filename is also the same.
