You unlock it with a key called practice.  I don't think any of us ever stop learning.

    I have two guesses Samantha:

    1. A survey comes up when you first install the application where you are asked to indicate your level of knowledge. This has no impact on how Photoshop works, but it is supposed to have an impact on which videos are displayed on the Learn tab on the Start screen. You can see all the videos here: Photoshop tutorials | Learn how to use Photoshop CC.
    2. Or are you talking about the panels displayed on the right side of the Photoshop workspace? You can add panels from the Window menu, and change workspaces (which changes the panel display) via Window > Workspace.

There are different Application UI interfaces in Photoshop Element like beginner and Expert UI.   There is only a single UI in Photoshop which you can customize with  Workspaces and edited toolbars etc.  You create your own Photoshop customized UI for your workflow's. Adobe also includes its own Workspaces for different types of Workflow's.  Use menu Window>Workspace>Name

When I pull that up it's just the Essentials Default because it's still in beginner mode. I'm trying to change that to expert mode.

Haha. That was my second guess. You can change the workspace via Window > Workspace. But I identify myself as Expert on that survey and it still starts with Essentials. That's just how Photoshop opens.

I'm not sure what that means. What settings are you referring to?

After you download Photoshop CC and open it for the first time, it asks what level your at. Beginner, Expert, etc. I need that changed.

Ok, that was my first guess. Again, this has no impact on the Photoshop or the software. It only impacts which videos are offered here:

Now if for some reason you are dead-set on resetting this: uninstall Photoshop including all preferences, and then reinstall. But really, you don't need to do that.
